PS Plus Free Games during June 2020
We’re starting back up with our coverage of the monthly free PS Plus games – the last time we featured the free games was a full year ago – in May 2019 when the brilliant Overcooked and What Remains of Edith Finch were the games on offer.
Call of Duty: WWII
Call of Duty: WWII was released in November 2017 and was developed by Sledgehammer Games. This was the first return to the World War II setting since 2008, when World at War was released.
WWII has the usual campaign, online multiplayer and Nazi Zombies game mode to keep you occupied.
Many of the recent entries in the Call of Duty series have featured a modern setting – with one of the most popular titles – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – getting a reboot at the end of 2019. The series taking a step further back in history proved successful with fans, and rival series Battlefield also made similar moves with Battlefield 1 (WWI) and Battlefield 5 (WWII) in recent years.
EA rebooted the Battlefront series in 2015, and released the sequel, Battlefront II in November 2017. The game was heavily critised at release due to its microtransactions, however the developers have managed to turn around the general consensus into a positive reception.
The major game updates ended in April 2020, but its definitely one to try.
Our future coverage of the free games will be found at our PS Plus category.
(We’ve also started covering the Xbox Games with Gold offers too!)
