Happy New Year!
A week late, I know. For the first post of 2020 we’re looking forward to an exciting year for gaming and outlining some upcoming features for the blog.
Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us: Part II, Dying Light 2 and Stronghold: Warlords are just a few of the upcoming games I’m really hyped to play. Both Sony and Microsoft are aiming to release the next-gen Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles at the end of the year. That’s guaranteed to spawn plenty of big announcements in the lead up to release and I’m staying tuned for any news.
I’m definitely going to get started with our ’10 Years On’ feature, looking at how games have held up a decade on. This should have been up and running last year but ran into a few issues. All sorted now! We’ve got a great year for it – 2010 saw the release of Red Dead Redemption, Fallout: New Vegas, Just Cause 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to name but a few. What games will feature has yet to be decided, but expect both classics and games you might have missed out on.
The Backlog. I’ve touched on this one before, and again, tackling my backlog of games across PC and console is also a focus for the start of 2020. I’m currently playing through an important one on top of the list – The Witcher 3!
Expect our first review of the year uploaded to the blog by next week – up first is M.A.C.E Tower Defense on Nintendo Switch from developer EntwicklerX. Also keep an eye out for content from a new contributor to the blog!
